Great State Aleworks | Beer label

Artwork for the label of a new beer by Great State Aleworks, as part of the Brew for the Wild series which seeks to raise awareness and funding for conservation in partnership with the Wild Otters Research Foundation. 

The Ridley is a seaweed sour launched in collaboration with The Good Ocean, and focused on the Olive Ridley turtles of Goa. The label features a mature sea turtle alongside strands of Sargassum, a nod to the seaweed used in the beer and an important part of the marine ecosystem. The small ship in the distance, dwarfed by the turtle in the foreground is a visual reminder that conservation could hold a more central place in the marine economy, than human industry.
